With the release of Joomla 1.5.8 many users complained about their content being deleted. Naturally this may have happened when using our editor and so understandable some frustration was directed towards us. Part of the dilemma was the untimely released of Joomla 1.5.8 (with the enforced default filtering choice) around the same time as we released the Acajoom Edition of the JoomlaFCK editor. If you are anything like me, you most likely downloaded the latest version of Joomla without reading the ChangeLogs, so it was easy to sympathise with the frustration experienced by some users. What’s new! 01Created a solution whereby the latest version 2.6.3.9b of the JoomlaFCK editor will automatically add filters groups for Registered and Author users if they have not been setup manually. And sets the editor to automatically process html entities which means that it processes them into their text Keyword equivalent. 02Addressed a bug in Joomla 1.5.8 (JInputFilter No: 13901) that’s deletes certain pieces of content. (I’m pleased to inform you that our fixed has been accepted and will be in the next 1.5.9 release, this can be downloaded via SVN from Joomlacode.org). 03Implemented an automatic file permission correction for files and folders where the chmod settings are incorrect. 04Performance improvement to the editor when it reads in the template stylesheet. 05Versioning now applied to JavaScript files to avoid cache issues. HELP SPREAD THE WORD! If you agree with us that this is the best implementation of the editor to date, why not vote for it? Extensions.joomla.org provides a great medium for the community to voice and communicate their opinions. You can find the project under the Editors category. It will only take a few minutes to register and vote, your option could help to SPREAD THE WORD! So if you love it, why not vote for it? Thanks, |
