For performance reason Firefox 3.5 sees a new JavaScript engine that crashes if used with version 2.6.4.1 of the editor. Please see the following threads for more details on the same - click here & click here. We are please to announce that we have developed a patch that addresses the 3.5 crashing issue for Joomla! 1.5 users.


(If you haven’t already installed version 2.6.4.1 you will need to do so before you install the 2.6.3.9 upgrade script.)

Errors 2.6.3 - non- international version Notice:

Editor not loading in J1.0x patch

Please be aware that the fix was applied to the version 2.6.3 download on the 19th September 16.50 pm.
Upgrade for 1.5 users only

It was brought to our attention that Google Chrome users were experinecing problems with loading the JLink plugn. And we found that this was due to the  minified version of the Fckxml class. We found that after re-compressing this file the problem was resolved in Google chrome

Note: You will need to clear your browser cache and restart your browser for the changes to take effect and if that doesn't work you should trying using a cache cleaning software such as CCleaner.

Please be aware that the fix was applied to the version 2.6.3 download on the 26th September 16.09 pm.
Upgade for J1.0 users only

It was brought to our attention that for J!.0 users found that Jlink plugin was not finding all their content items. And after some investigation we found that this was due to the problem that the fact that the query used to retrieve these artcles did not filter the jos_menu table efficiently. So we added
some more filters and this seemed to resolve the issue.

Please find the attached file that you need to replace in the Jlink plugin(fckeditor/editor/plugins.jlink.suggest.class.php).

How to Download?

You can download a working version of the editor for free but you need to register before the system will grant you access click here - to register.

(1) Once signed in, you can either go to download the editor or go to subscription on the User Menu > Subscription. Either way to will end up at the same subscription page.

(2) Choose a suitable subscription - you can choose a FREE subscription if you do not want to contribute. However – if you do the system will direct you via PayPal to take payment.

(3) Then visit > Downloads and you will be grated access to download the editor.

J!1.5.15 new security rule

Joomla 1.5.15 has introduced a new security rule. This is comments out in the .htaccess file however, if this rule is manually applied the following error will occur: "http://www.mysite.com/plugins/editors/fckeditor/fckstyles_template.xml" (HTTP Status: 403).
