I'm relative new to Joomla and chose CK Editor because it allowed to do the basic formatting I wanted in a table without messing up spaces etc. and it works great.

I use a MAC and wonder if there is any way to add/delete rows & columns when you don't have access to "right click"?
Buttons on the toolbar would make this easier like one other Editor I tried.

Thanks.

Hello,
I just installed JCK Editor for the 1st time and wanted to create a button that links to another part of my site. When I created and then selected the button, I hit the jlinktree icon and it brought up the menus and articles for my selection. Therefore I selected an article, then picked target self, then hit ok.

Upon viewing the source code, nothing appears for linking information. So i hit save anyways and did a test, nothing happened after I hit the button. So i tried the regular link button and pasted in the page that I would like to link to. Yet again, nothing was added to my code for linking.

I have 0 issues in the JCK Manager system check and not sure what to do.
Please help, thanks!

Have you enabled JCK Typography in the JCK Editor parameters screen under advanced parameters and also have you enabled it under Joomla's system plugins--Both need to be enabled.

This is an issue we are looking into at the moment why you may get this error in certain cases when the JCK Typography plugin is not enabled. but if you configure the editor to use the JCK Typography stylesheet and the JCK Typography plugin is enabled then it should resolve this issue.

Yes, we are using 2.2, but this shouldn't be important. It is working fine, we are adding code manually for now.

JCK sig plugin should only create that string and this is not working.
We have empty dialog.
What i have noticed, that also adding image dialog not showing files and folder, in case that plugin is enabled... something is wrong here.

What can we do?

Hello,

I am trying to install plg_jckeditor.6.1.3.zip for Joomla 2.5 & 3 on Joomla! 2.5.11 and each time I have the following error message (I uninstall the folder - via the uninstall manager or via FTP - I see after reloading the page several times):

Fatal error: Call to undefined method AdmintoolsModelHtmaker::getClone() in /home/www/mairiepia/www/mp/libraries/fof/model/model.php on line 371

I tried once to use the editor even if I had the error message but there was only a blank page with some fields and buttons but without any css display and without the joomla article normal page / the article.

I don't understand exactly what happens. I am trying to install it because another editor is starting to remove/strip html tags/code perhaps with the update to Joomla! 2.5.11 more or less. With the "no wysiwyg" editor there is no problem of course.

Can you tell me please how to try a manual install or what the problem can come from?

Thanks in advance,
Chris

Thank you for your post.

To be honest 10 months ago JCK 5.1 was our final release for J! 1.6 and in 5.2 we drop support for J!15.

Because of the 6 monthly Joomla release cycles we have needed to drop legacy support and focus on supporting active streams of Joomla.

I hope you understand.

Hi Paul,

I follow your suggestion and this is what I found:
1) In Joomla 3.0 'Edit JCK typography' is under Advanced Options, not Basic Options.
2) “content: url ("blockquotes.png");” under “blockquote:before” doesn't show as you said but as this line "content: url("blockquotes.png") !important;"
I deleted that whole line because it was in ...!important that the line ended with a ; (...!important;).
Done with the deleting of the line, I saved the changes and went to see the result. The conflicting quotes persisted, only that this time the problem was worse because all the paragraph (were I use the quote) lost its format and became a big mess.
I had saved the deleted line, so I went back to 'Edit JCK typography' and pasted it again in the same place as before and now everything is back to "normal".

I logged in to the backend and loaded an article in edit mode and the editor showed up without problem. In the frontend even I couldn't get the editor to work - I also uninstalled the editor and reinstalled the latest version - no change - the editor on the joomla frontend looks like in the attached image.

I'm using the Joomlashine.com template JSN epic in the pro version.

Site is http://www.dpsg-freiburg.de http://www.joomlackeditor.com/images/fbfiles/images/freditorproblem.png

UPDATE:

It was a javascript & template problem with my joomlashine template.

I updated to the latest version of the template andm the editor shows up again in the frontend :-)

Yes - please feel welcome! That would be gr8!

You can download and translate the english file above.

We’ve got a multilingual version of the editor ready (in the pipeline) and have already translated into Spanish using Google translate but it’s probably not grammatically correct!

If your translation is good we would look to give you a subscription and accredit your work in our changelogs as a small way of saying thanking you. :)

Hi Joris ,

Thank you for you ticket.

Presently the editor will not pick up any LESS CSS styles. It will need a reworking of how the editor works. This is something we are looking to do in the future. :)

Hi again :)

I'm not blaming you or the Editor at all... Let us call it a little frustration ^_^

Well, i'm not as skilled as you make it sound - actually, I had to start all over, and THAT my friend! is my own fail... The backup was too old ^O^

Kindest Regards from Denmark

I am a great fan of the editor, but unfortunately 6.2 still does not fix this error.
It is still occurring.

Hi Enrico,

Thank you for your post.

Basically, if there is some sort of commercial activity sounding your development (i.e. you are make money for your work) we would ask you support the project, take out a subscription and given something back.

We also have many cool plugin's which are only available under subscription which I am sure you will enjoy.

All the monies generated go back into the project which is non-profit.

Hi Thomas,

You are running out of date software on your website.

I would suggest that you upgrade to the latest version of Joomla for bug fixes and security fixes. The latest 2.5 version is 2.5.11.

I would also suggest you uninstall and install the latest version of the JCK Manager. Please note that we are working on the 6 series and no longer supporting the 5 series. Also you will see that the 6 series contains a suite, JCK Suite that installs the JCK Manager Full version and the editor in one package and also includes other cool features that you are missing out on.

Kindest Regards

Dear Paul,

some of my blogger readers reported me that JCK Editor Manager [Lite Edition] v. 4.7 is no more available in your web site for the download; your actual JCK Editor Manager 4.8 is incompatible with the image map plugin you provided here.
The article on your image map plugin is capable to attract 10 visits a day to my non commercial blog!
I wonder if: since this is the unique way to install the free image map feature in Joomla! 2.5, you'd be so forward-looking to provide it free; thank you.

Best regards,

G. C.

Dear Artem,

Thank you for your reply.

Just to let you know that we forked out 14.90 EUR to download this component and will look into it for you. :)

But if I'm honest maintaining support for this plugin has been trouble. I think this will be the 3rd time now that they have changed something which i supose they are a custom to do. However, it would be nice if they tested it with our editor once in awhile! :(

Anyway lesson learned - we've got something in the pipeline which will mean that we don't need to support this anymore and it will be even easier to use.
