In some instances users have reported that their version upgrades have corrupted or do not function correctly. This could be due to number factors but if Joomla! hasn’t completely uninstalled the editor correctly you may need to remove the files manual!

Answer:
To uninstall this please go to Extension > Install/Uninstall > Plugins. On the left you will be able to view a list of plug-ins accompanied with a 'tick box'. Please select the ‘tick box’ next to JoomlaFCK and press on the large uninstall icon at the top of the page.

Once uninstalled, we need to check/verify that the files were successfully removed from the server. You will require FTP access to your server to achieve the next task.

The file path is: /public_html/plugins/editors

If the following files are still present, please delete:-

fckeditor folder
fckconfigjoomla.js
fckeditor.php
fckeditor.xml

This will manually remove any old FCK files and will provide a platform for a clean installation.
